With over 20 years in the hairdressing industry, Katie has built her career on high standards, integrity, and genuine care for both clients and team.

Beginning her journey as a Saturday Assistant, she worked her way up through dedication, continuous learning, and a passion for delivering results that truly make people feel confident. Training with leading brands such as L’Oréal, Redken, and Toni & Guy shaped the level of professionalism and consistency she expects - not only from herself, but across the entire salon.

In 2016, Katie founded Summers and Co. with one clear intention: to create a welcoming, comfortable environment where every client feels listened to, valued, and leaves with results they love. For her, it has never been just about hair - it is about the experience, the trust built in the chair, and the confidence clients carry with them long after they leave.

Equally important to Katie is the team behind it all. As a qualified lecturer and mentor, she is deeply committed to developing confident, fulfilled stylists who feel supported in their roles and proud of the careers they are building. She believes a happy, empowered team creates exceptional service - and that culture always starts at leadership level.

Gemma

Creative Stylist & Assistant Manager

Gemma joined the Summers and Co. team in 2020 and has continued to evolve into a highly respected Creative Stylist and Assistant Salon Manager within the salon.

Recognised as one of the salon’s Colour Specialists, Gemma is also a Redken Certified Hair Colourist, having completed advanced professional accreditation in colour. Her expertise allows her to confidently manage complex colour work, corrective services, and high-level transformations while always prioritising the health and integrity of the hair.

Often the go-to stylist for bigger changes and technical colour challenges, Gemma combines precision, creativity, and in-depth knowledge to deliver impactful yet wearable results tailored to each individual client.

Alongside her work behind the chair, Gemma plays a key role in supporting the wider team, helping to maintain the high standards and salon culture Summers and Co. is known for. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and calm leadership ensure clients consistently receive an exceptional experience.

Dani

Dani joined the Summers and Co. team in 2025 and has quickly established herself as a confident and highly valued stylist.

A versatile and technically strong stylist, Dani has strengths across colour, cutting, and styling. She is particularly skilled in precision cutting, short hair work, and men’s grooming - areas where her attention to detail and technical accuracy truly stand out.

Dani is recognised as one of the salon’s trusted colour correction specialists, confidently managing complex colour transformations while always prioritising the health and integrity of the hair. Her calm, professional approach ensures clients feel reassured and in safe hands, even during bigger changes.

Committed to continuous development, Dani is currently working towards becoming a Redken Certified Hair Colourist, further strengthening her advanced colour expertise.

With her combination of skill, confidence, and warm professionalism, Dani ensures every client enjoys a comfortable experience and leaves feeling their absolute best.

Ella joined the Summers and Co. team in 2025 and is recognised as one of the salon’s most highly reviewed and loved stylists.

Known for her calm, reassuring presence and beautifully consistent results, Ella creates a relaxed experience in the chair where clients feel completely at ease. Her natural ability to listen and understand her clients’ goals has made her a firm favourite with both new and returning guests.

Ella has a particular strength in blonding services, delivering seamless, dimensional results tailored to each individual. She also offers a range of professional hair extension methods, helping clients achieve added length, volume, and fuller transformations with natural-looking finishes.

Committed to continuous development, Ella is currently working towards becoming a Redken Certified Hair Colourist, further strengthening her advanced colour expertise.
